Yes, I experienced it before on June 27, 2015 at https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/cant-save-copyright-info/
I needed to update GP premium.
I am currently using v 1.3.14 theme with 0.9 GP Premium. Is there a later version than that?

OK found the problem. I didn’t realize I was using an old version of GP Premium.
