I’m trying to publish a new course, but I’m facing this issue (see image).

I can save/publish posts, pages, and even memberships, but not courses, which is very frustrating. I’ve tried everything I know, from flushing the permalinks to checking the SSL and .htaccess file, but nothing fixes the issue.

I only can save a course post type if installed the classic editor plugin which I can’t use on my setup!

I found this error in the console, which might help.

    Hi @sallory85,

We’re not able to replicate the same issue when the only active plugin is LifterLMS 7.8.7 on top of the Twenty Twenty-Four theme. As a result, could you please confirm if you were able to replicate the same issue when no other plugin is installed and while using a default theme like the Twenty Twenty-Four theme? If the issue persists in this case on your end, it is possible that you might have a server setting somewhere that is causing the 403 errors. For example, your server may have a security setup. As a result, kindly consider reaching out to your web host to check if their settings are causing these 403 errors.

Saving a membership, post, page is ok 😓

    Hi @sallory85,

Thanks for letting us know. I’m unable to replicate the same issue on any of my demo or test sites. Since we also haven’t received any other reports about this, this points to a server issue. As a result, could you please confirm if you have you already reached out to the support team of your web host? They will be able to further investigate what is the reason behind the 403 forbidden error.

Before reaching to your web host, please also enable debug mode and debug logging by following the instructions in lifterlms.com/docs/how-to-debug-a-white-screen/#log. You would know that debug mode and debug log are enabled by navigating to /wp-admin/admin.php?page=llms-status&tab=report and looking for Debug Mode: Yes and Debug Log: Yes. Once these are enabled, please try to save courses again multiple times. This should force the debug logs to be written. These debug logs can then be explored at /wp-admin/admin.php?page=llms-status&tab=logs. You or your web host may need to view different logs there to find if there is a PHP error associated with the course saving. Your web host might also have logs of their own or tools of their own to see what is behind the 403 forbidden error.

    Hi @sallory85,

As we haven’t had any response in over a week, I am going to mark this thread as resolved. Please reopen or post a new thread if you require further assistance.
