• Hi all,

The problem as stated is this; when I save a post without a link, it saves fine and I can edit it.

When I add a HREF to the content of the post and try to save, it takes me to the homepage of my site and the changes are lost. I’m sure this is one I have seen before, but I can’t find any information out there and I’ve been searching for hours.

Worth mentioning, this is only occuring on the live version of my site. My local version on apache on OS X is working fine. Is there something I can check with my host? mor_rewrite is definitely on.

I’m tearing my hair out with WordPress at the minute, why is everything going wrong?!

    Thanks

Bump, sorry but I can’t find the answer!

Bump by me – because I’m having the same problem.

Every time I add a link into a post, I get the Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage message.

Anyone come across this in the past?

I figured it out… you can not have ‘wget’ anywhere in a post. I’ve tried 50 different methods to get around it, but nothing works.

It’s simple, just remove ‘wget’ and you’re good to go.

Thanks threadhead, i will try this out. Do you mean just remove it from the code behind?

Check with your web host. Some web hosts have their security set too high, preventing you from posting any html tags and/or “forbidden” words.
