Malware scanner has notified me that I have a suspicious file on one of my 3 websites. I looked at the scan results and identified the file. I want to send the file for analysis but don’t see that option. (I’d love to send a screenshot but that doesn’t seem to be possible.) The options for that file are “view” “approve” and “view suspicious code” (no “send for analysis”)

By the way, the screenshots that are included in your help files on this issue seem outdated. When I try to follow the instruction, my screen doesn’t look anything like the screenshot examples.

  • Hello, @bluecat567.

It depends what category the file was placed into.

I see that 2 files you sent earlier were checked and they are safe:
    1. plugins/litespeed-cache/src/crawler-map.cls.php
    2. plugins/litespeed-cache/src/img-optm.cls.php

Are you talking about one of these files?

    Hello Serge,

The most recently flagged file is: /staging/wp-content/plugins/updraftplus/vendor/phpseclib/phpseclib/phpseclib/Crypt/Base.php on website btoportraits.com

Thanks for your help with this, Jim

Most likely it’s a safe file too, @bluecat567.

Could you send me a picture of what you see about this file in the Scanner interface? What category is the file under?

I’ve tried copy and pasting a screen shot of the info you need. It doesn’t seem to work with this form.
