the message is like this when i tried to update the new version of wp:

Unpacking the package…

Could not create directory. /public_html

Are you trying to update WP itself or a plugin?

– if auto update does not work for you, try manual update. see links above.

-if still having problem, contact your hosting provider (unless you are your own server)
