Cant Update WordPress Options

Hello,

I am unable to update/configure any of my WordPress blogs. I cannot update for instance General, Reading, Discussions etc. Every time I try and hit Save on any of these options I get a 404 page error. I use Hostgator for hosting.

Troubleshooted already;

1. Updated permalinks
2. Deactivated most plugins
3. Changed Themes
4. Deleted .htaccess and placed simplified one in its place
5. Changed different directories/files via FTP from low 644 to higher access 744
6. Contacted Hostgator they tried some stuff on the blog but didn’t work.

Please assist.
