I get an error that it cannot create the directory ultimate-product-catalogue/PHPSpreadsheet/vendor/phpoffice/phpspreadsheet/src/PhpSpreadsheet/Shared/Escher/DggContainer/BstoreContainer

Is this just too long, or what is happening? Any tips on resolving this?

  • Hi Colby,

Is this the first time in a while that you’re trying to update the plugin? In version 4.4.0 we switched to using PHPSpreadsheet (instead of PHPExcel) for the importing and exporting.

It sounds like it’s a permissions issue and that the plugin isn’t being allowed to create that new directory. Please double check your permissions (you could do so by checking the folders via FTP or by checking with your host) to make sure the plugin has the access it needs.

There’s a small chance that it could also be an issue with an incomplete download of the new version of the plugin when you tried to update. For this, you could try deleting the plugin completely and then downloading the new version fresh.
