    Hi there,

I’ve downloaded your Responsive Extension from your TablePress Extensions page.

I’ve tried to upload it, following the normal procedure of “Install Plugins – Add New – Upload Plugin”.

The first time I tried to download the extension, it automatically unzipped (using Chrome on a Windows 10 PC) but when I zipped it manually, it didn’t work.

The second and third times, I ensured that I definitely had a zipped file downloaded, by checking in Firefox (latest version).

The issue seems to be with the naming of the folder, as I keep getting the following error:

    “Destination folder already exists. /home/diamo805/public_html/staging/wp-content/plugins/tablepress-responsive-tables/”.

    Plugin Installation Failed.

I tried renaming the zip file to Tablepress-Responsive-Tables-1.4.zip, but still no success.

    Can you advise, please?

I’m happy to donate for this premium extension, but I want to make sure I can get it to work, first!

    Many thanks,

    Fiona

    Hi again,

I’ve just discovered something. When I went to Upload the Plugin, the reason it was saying that there was already a folder with the same name, I think, is because it was uploading the plugin to the Media Library!

There was no option for me to choose where to upload it to – I just got to pick the plugin zip file and hit “Install Now” so I have no idea why it installed in the media library as none of my other plugins have ever done this.

    It’s rather strange!

    Hoping you can help,

    Thank you,

    Fiona Allan

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

This is indeed a bit strange. From what I can see, we should first delete the already-created folder. For that, you will have to log in to your server via FTP (or maybe through some admin interface like cPanel).
    Then, delete the folder “/wp-content/plugins/tablepress-responsive-tables/”
After that try uploading the ZIP File again.

    Regards,
    Tobias
