Can't view or preview draft

I can preview or view (when clicking ‘view post’ button) posts that are already published, but I can’t preview drafts. What are some possible causes for this?

When I click “Preview” while editing a post that hasn’t been published and is still a draft, I simply get redirected to the homepage, instead of the single post view. Previewing a published post works just fine.
