Can’t view post once published

I have a website up and running using pages in WordPress for around 6 months. I have had no issues at all. I decided to utilize the posts section today and am having an issue I cannot figure out. I created a new post, titled it, added some text, hit publish, then hit view page and get, Sorry! That page doesn’t seem to exist. WHAT???

The only thing I’m noticing is the permalink is not populating correctly based on the page title as prescribed in my permalinks settings page. I am using “Custom Structure: “http://my_website.com/file-name”. The url is made up for this post but you get the idea. This works fine for all my pages as they populate with whatever the page name is, like /contact-us../about-us…etc…But this post is not doing that. It using “/file-name” instead of page title. Whats up with that???
