Can't write posts – Visual Editor not working

    Hi.

    I was using wordpress.com and finally yesterday I took the leap to ww.wp.xz.cn.

    Set up everything with my host and chose a theme. Customized the header and was off to writing posts. But I can’t write posts. The visual editor doesn’t show up.

    I browsed online for solutions and here’s what I’ve tried:
    – turned off all the plugins, which at the moment was only the wordpress importer – still the same problem
    – tried three different browsers and also Windows and MAC OS
    – deleted cache completely on all browsers
    – switched to the Twenty Twelve theme
    – checked to see that my user is an admin
    – enabled and disabled the visual editor in my profile

    And nothing worked. Please, I need URGENT help as everyday I don’t have my website running is money I’m paying my server and not using it!

    Have you tried reinstalling WordPress manually from a freshly downloaded copy except wp-content. Do not overwrite files/ folders but delete them before reinstalling.

    Okay, I just re-did everything and it seems to be working now. Really hope this doesn’t happen again.

    I just lost the post editor (blank input area) after a faulty backup restore. Reinstalling WordPress from the updates area fixed it.
