That’s good to hear, @insecttrojan!
Have you enabled stealth mode?
no i must to enable it Daan ?
Well, that’s up to you. Stealth mode allows you to bypass ad blockers, and the error you’re getting is due to the ad blocker you have installed š
Hi,
i followed your conversation and i was hopeful.
Then, when i opened the file (class-caos-update.php), i saw this:
/**
* Downloads $remoteFile and writes it to $localFile
*
* We’re using cUrl so allow_furl_open doesn’t need to be set.
*
* @param $localFile
* @param $remoteFile
*/
so, what now?
Regards,
That’s the first attempt. If that still fails, it falls back to file_get_contents() which still needs allow_url_fopen.
It still isn’t working for you?
Ah, sorry! I forgot to tell you that it was on the 25th line. As per you mentioned in other post.
When i saw that cUrl is being used, i didnt chech my host if php setting is set to 1.
So, Caos is not working. I have tried many methods but couldnt make it.
Any advice?
If CAOS still can’t download the file, something might wrong with your servers’ permissions. What permissions does CAOS’ cache-folder have? You could try changing the cache folder to somewhere outside the cache-folder?
Well, thanks for the help and appreciate the effort.
I am now kinda stop trying your beautiful plugin, because either way, i need to use Google Tag Manager and it as you know already is consuming sources. I cant gain time either i use Chaos or not, that time is being consumed by GTM. I hope i could explain myself.
Regards,
Yes, if you use GTM, CAOS can’t help you. Sorry man.
Thanks for your reply, either way.
