    Hi, I want to give users with the “Author” role access to the WP Import Export Lite plugin, but would like to know what specific capabilities the plugin uses to control access. Can you please clarify this?

    Hi,

    Thanks for your question.

    The WP Import Export Lite plugin uses custom capabilities to control access to its features. Here are the capabilities you can assign to a user role (like Author) to give them specific access:

    1. wpie_new_export
    2. wpie_manage_export
    3. wpie_new_import
    4. wpie_manage_import
    5. wpie_settings
    6. wpie_extensions
    7. wpie_add_shortcode

    You don’t need an external role editor plugin—WP Import Export Lite already provides an option to manage role access under the plugin’s Settings page.
