Captcha Anxiety

I’m using PMS pro.
I had a message from a potential subscriber saying they couldn’t get past Captcha.
I don’t have Captcha activated.
I asked him for more information and he didn’t reply, but the next day he signed up successfully. I’ve asked him again for information about this problem but still no reply.
I’ve been through the sign up process myself to double check everything and there is no Captcha displaying for me, but if others are encountering one and having a problem with it this would explain the drop-off in sign-ups I’ve experienced while traffic has grown.
I don’t think it’s likely this customer took the time to submit a message about a problem they weren’t having, so where is this Captcha, why is it there when I haven’t activated it, and how do I turn it off?
I’m very concerned this is impacting registrations but I cannot find this problem and therefor cannot turn it off.
Any help or advice is appreciated.
