Please try to set CAPTCHA loading type “WordPress Session” in Dashboard > Comments > Settings > Show/Hide admin page. Then delete all caches, logout, do Ctrl+F5 on post front-end and check it.

I have done all those things (It was already set to “WordPress Session”) and cleared all caches, logged out, and did Ctrl+F5, and the image is still broken. Here is a screenshot:

Hello? I have been waiting to hear back from you. No one has been able to leave a comment on my blog since this problem started. Please help.

This maybe a cache or security issue. Could you please delete caches, disable all plugins and test it again.Something doesn’t allow CAPTCHA generator file to work. It returns “403 Permission Denied” error.

Also please make sure the folders and files of your server has correct permissions.
    Folders: 755
    Files: 644

I thin permissions are wrong and wpDscuz can’t create CAPTCHA image in /wp-content/plugins/wpdiscuz/utils/captcha/directory.

We can’t unselect captcha. Choice of captcha required.
Only Captcha generation type: use file system or use wordpress session.

It’s fixed. I changed “Captcha Generation Type” to “use file system” and it seems to be working now. I am not pleased with your support. You guys told me to do the exact opposite, and my users were not able to leave comments for over a month.

After the last plugin update, I started getting messages again that my Captcha was broken. I checked, and the “Captcha Generation Type” had been changed back to “use WordPress session.” Once again, I changed it back to “use file system” and it now works.

PLEASE don’t change my setting when you update the plugin! I don’t always realize right away that it’s been changed and the Captcha has broken again until people tell me. Your plugin updates should not change the settings that we select!
