Captcha does not appear then error: Captcha not correct: javascript-protection

    Hi, after successfully installing and activating silent shield, the captcha prompt does not load on a woo-commerce check-out page (using side-cart plugin) but then generates a non-compliance error: “Captcha not correct: javascript-protection”

    How do I make the captcha appear on my web page?

    upate… I’m now locked out of my admin and control panel due to not being able to see/solve the captcha security question….so can’t disable the plug-in. Hoping you can assist. Thanks

    Hello @georeports,

    Connect to your server via FTP. In /wp-content/plugins/, rename the folder captcha-for-contact-form-7 to something like captcha-for-contact-form-7-backup. That immediately disables the plugin and removes the captcha protection.

    Then, check if you’re running the latest version of WordPress and the plugin. If not – update. Outdated software is the enemy of clarity.

    Thank you Marc. I managed to disable the plugin. I believe I have the latest versions of plugin and WordPress, so not sure of reason why the captcha image does not load on any/all registration & check out web pages. I’ll review options and reconsider approach to securing user registration and stopping spam orders. Thanks again, Phil

    If you can provide us with a copy of your site using Duplicator or grant access to a staging environment, we’d be glad to debug the issue directly. This would also help us improve the plugin and prevent similar issues for other users in the future.
