    Hi,

i’ve a problem related to CAPTCHA. When i enable it, and when the system has cached all the pages, if a user try to comment, he gets a 500 error. This, also if the reply of the captcha is true. But, also if it false, the 500 error should not appear.

If i delete the cache, all works fine, also the captcha. When the cache has been recreated, the captcha not works again. So, i tried to exclude from caching the URL /wp-comments-post.php to see if it works, but no luck.

If i disable the captcha function, the comment section works normally. But i’d like to use it.

What can i do to fix this issue?

    Thx

Hi, which cache plugin are you currently using?

    Hi,

i’m using wp-rocket but it has been ever used with CAPTCHA. What are the files to exclude from caching, related to AIOWPS’s CAPTCHA?

Or, maybe, should i exclude the entire folder of AIOWPS?

Cause, when i delete the cache, the CAPTCHA works. With cache, it shows a 500 error every time. But it shouldn’t do that.

    Thanks,

    Lorenzo

Okay try the following test. Disable all your other plugins and carry out a test? If that does not work and you still see the 500 error message try the following. Test one of WordPress default themes like Twenty Fifteen or Sixteen. Then carry out another test.

    Report back.

    Thank you

I’ve already tested this. The only solutions, in my case (i think), are:

    – disable the cache plugin (cannot do that)
    – disable the aiowps’s captcha (cannot do that)
    – exclude aiowps from caching (not tested cause i’d like to know what files should be excluded)

The only thing that i’ve not tested, is to delete cache and, when it works, insert a wrong captcha to see if 500 error appears. I think no, but i’ll test it.

    Thanks,

    Lorenzo

Did you come up with a solution?
Have the same problem on a site.

Deactivating plugins and changing themes are not an option for this site.
I have deactivated the captcha function in WP security for now.

@kimoj, can you start a new support thread.

    Thank you
