caption div colour background edit or remove

    I have added a caption via the built in media gallery but i would really like to edit or remove the light grey background that surrounds the image. Not sure if its wordpress or the theme that has created it, but would really appreciate the css code so can i spruce it up a bit. many thanks in advance for your help and your great theme !!

    figured it out myself eventually, i used:

    .entry .wp-caption {
    background: #ffffff;}
