• Hi, I’m having trouble with the slide captions. When I select “Manual entry,” the TinyMCE editor doesn’t appear for me to write the caption.

If I disable “Enable TinyMCE” in the plugin settings, it shows the basic textarea.

    • I tried WordPress 6.9 and 7.0
    • I’m using Metaslider version 3.109.0
    • I tried a rollback to version 3.100.0, and it still doesn’t work

    Thanks!

Hi @yaelduckwen. Thanks for using MetaSlider. This is most likely to be a plugin conflict. There may be another plugin that is mistakenly trying to load conflicting code on the MetaSlider screen.

Do you have a test site, or the ability to disable plugins one-by-one to look for conflicts?

Hi, thanks for the quick reply. I put the site into maintenance mode, deactivated almost all plugins (leaving only the most basic ones), and changed the theme to Twenty Twenty-Five, but the TinyMCE editor still isn’t showing up.

Also, the browser console shows these errors:

    Hi @yaelduckwen

Likely another plugin is conflicting with TinyMCE. Would you mind deactivating (NOT uninstalling) the other plugins, except MetaSlider? This may tell us the source of the conflict.

    • I see you already deactivated almost all the plugins. Which are the remaining active plugins?
    • If you create a new slideshow and add new slides, does TinyMCE works fine?
