Caption height

Can you tell me where i can edit the height that the caption box pops up to? i don’t want it to be the full height of the image. but just a percentage e.g 25% of image height.

I know it isn’t a feature at the moment but if you could tell me where i could hard code it till it is then that would be great. As if i can do this then i will be buying the pro version but don’t want to buy a plugin if i cant make it do what i want.
