Caption not showing

    I recently added a new picture to the slider (nivo slider), and after saving it, the captions no longer show – on ALL my meta sliders!! I tried other slider styles, still no luck. I see the caption in preview, but when I save and publish, they do not show. FYI: I am WP 4.9.8

    Hi @behs2011,

    Can you clear your JavaScript caching plugin and see if that fixes everything?

    Hi @kbat82!

    purged the cache with no luck… checked on other laptops and browsers, still same issue. No caption.

    Please disregard! Captions appeared all of a sudden again. Not sure what was the issue though… will continue to monitor to see if it happens again.

    Hi @behs2011,

    Glad to hear it’s working now. It was most likely the JS cache as a recent version updated the NivoSlider code to use the data-caption attribute instead of the previous way. Let me know if you have any more issues.

    Hello, I am using the FlexSlider with dots selected to display and the dots, and more importantly the captions, are not showing. I’ve cleared the cache on my browser, made sure the caption box is checked, updated and republished the page many times.

    It’s better that you create a new issue so that it doesn’t send notifications to previous users, and usually the solutions are not the same. You can do so here:

    Can you check if the captions show in the preview area on the settings page? Can you share a screenshot of the settings page so I can see how you set up the caption?
