Hello @rawkus2g
Thank you for explaining!
It might be an issue caused by a plugin or your theme.
I recommend installing this plugin: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/health-check/
After you install and activate the above plugin it has a Troubleshooting mode which allows you to have a vanilla WordPress session, where all plugins are disabled, and a default theme is used, but only for your user – your visitors will still see the normal website.
Go to its troubleshoot mode and only activate FancyBox for WordPress and see if it works correctly with a default WordPress theme (Twenty Nineteen for example) and no other plugins.
Please let me know how it goes and what you find!
Have a nice day ! 🙂
All the best,
Marian
Marian,
Thanks for the suggestion!
Results: Same problem in troubleshooting mode with FancyBox active. Still no captions despite settings. This is valid for both Jetpack tiled galleries and individual images. Fancybox appears to work fine, just no captions.
Hello again @rawkus2g
You can please activate this option in “Appearance” you may not have activated the caption does not show it to you.
Thank you for understanding ! https://gyazo.com/9451c9aa0cd241cbd6398276a2529887
Please let me know if it’s work !
Warmly,
Marian
That fixed captions for single images but not for tiled galleries. Getting closer! Thanks!
Just to say I am having the same issue.
In a gallery the captions are not displayed as the div fancybox-custom-caption remains empty
<div class="fancybox-custom-caption" style=" position: absolute;left:0;right:0;color:#000;padding-top:10px;bottom:0;margin:0 auto;text-align:center; "></div>
I also disabled woocommerce and checked without any luck.
Any other tips or tricks?!
@ddt my understanding is that it’s a Jetpack issue. I have been looking for an alternative mosaic gallery but have not found one that works just yet.
@ddt -> To avoid pile on, can you please open a new support thread here: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/fancybox-for-wordpress/
We apologize, we missed your reply
Warmly,
Marian
