Card input missing until cart update

    Hi, I’m working on a website for a client and I have payed membership subscription pro plugin installed for certain services and additional product that requires no subscription at the same time.

    We’re in test mode, but card details for stripe do not appear until cart is being updated (changing the amount of the product). This only occurs for the standard wp product.

    It’s same page cart and checkout. Tested removing cart from the page, still the same issue. Stripe is the only payment method selected. Deactivated PMS and still the issue persists with the card details for the product.

    Hi @wpidl ,

    I see you’re having concerns with Stripe not showing up right for standard products unless you tweak the cart. Just to clarify, does the membership subscription pro plugin work to let subscribed users buy special items only they have access to? And when they’re not subscribed, they can still buy the regular products?

    It might be a theme or plugin conflict, but to narrow it down, could you send over the System Status Report with your response? You can find it by going to WooCommerce → Status, then selecting “Get system report” and clicking “Copy for Support.”

    Once you’ve done that, you can paste the text in here using the “<code>” block.

    Hi, pasting the status.
    All users (payed, free and not registered) can buy this product. This is not membership product, just a simple wp digital product.

    Tested with other machines and they produce the same issue – the card input details are hidden unless they start filling info or updating the cart.

    On the checkout page, there is an error “It looks like Stripe.js was loaded more than one time”.
    It looks like the Paid Member Subscriptions plugin also has Stripe integration.
    This could be the reason for the error on the checkout page.

    I recommend reaching out to the Paid Member Subscriptions plugin support and asking them if you need a separate Stripe plugin.

    I reached out to PMS and did what they advised – to load their stripe script on certain pages only, but that did not fix the issue.

    I understand your concern. I noticed you’re using an older version (8.8.1) of the Stripe for WooCommerce plugin. Could you please update it to the latest version, 8.8.2, and see if that resolves the issue?

    If the issue persists, please enable the Stripe error log by going to WooCommerce > Payments > Stripe > Settings, scroll down to the Advanced tab, and check the Error Log option.

    Then, go to WooCommerce > Status > Logs, open the log file related to Stripe payments, copy the error log, and share it here.

    I understand the issue persists even after updating the Stripe plugin.

    Could you disable the Paid Member Subscriptions plugin and check if the issue is resolved?
    I realize you have done this before but after the update, I want to confirm if this is a plugin conflict or not.

    Thanks for sharing the screenshot!

    As a next step, I recommend testing with the [woocommerce_checkout] shortcode. You can create a test checkout page and add the shortcode there to see if it resolves the issue. This will help determine whether the issue is related to Elementor or your current theme.

    Additionally, I noticed you’re using the legacy checkout. Stripe has recently updated to their Express Checkout. You can enable this by navigating to WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Stripe and checking if it makes a difference.

    Finally, I suggest performing a full conflict test to rule out any potential issues caused by other plugins or your theme. You can follow the steps here: How to test for conflicts.

    Hi, I do not have “enable the new checkout” option.

    It’s same page cart and checkout(both are added with elementor). I did add the shortcode to a test page, but still the issue persists.

    Additional to that I disabled elementor and moved to wp default theme 2024 and still the issue remains.
    I started disabling one by one all plugins, leaving only woocommerce and Stripe Gateway and still no change.

    All plugins are up to date.
