Carousel doesn’t work in Jetpack 9.8 (works in 9.7.1)

Instead of displaying a fullscreen carousel, clicking on a thumbnail generates two javascript errors in the console:

This happens both on a live site that’s linked to wordpress.com and on a development site with JETPACK_DEV_DEBUG set to true.

Restoring to version 9.7.1 fixes the issue.

Please note, I rolled back to 9.7.1 on the site linked above, so you won’t see the issue there. Here’s an example that’s still broken.

Thanks for the report, Robert. I haven’t been able to duplicate this myself yet, but a colleague was able to. We’ll investigate further and let you know if there is any additional information we need.

Same problem here after the 9.8 update! No images loading in the lightbox.
I also didn’t have a rollback plugin installed; is there somewhere to download v.9.7.1 to fix this temporarily?

Go to https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/jetpack/advanced/ and scroll to the bottom. Use the dropdown to choose the version you want to download.
