Hi @user4forum ,
Thanks for reaching out!
Can you please send a short screencast of this issue?
Looking forward to hearing back from you!
Kind regards,
Alina
Steps 1 to 3.
1. Enable pre-defined standard cart discount rule.
2. Select a single product for cart.
3. Missing promised (50%) discount as “Subtotal” and “Total” are equal.

Hi @user4forum,
Thanks for the reference, and I see it seems like a strange bug!
But our dev team can check this for you technically, just reach out to the team here, please:

Thanks for the prompt response. Unfortunately, further actions on my part are not possible.
Finally, I tested a few WP standard themes (in addition to BuddyX). The “functions.php” was also checked again. These would have been the last sources of error but the ‘bug’ remains.
In the next few days I’ll keep an eye for an update and otherwise I’ll look for another plugin. It’s a shame, because this plugin offers a (very) good range of functions.
Hi @user4forum,
Good morning,
We sincerely apologize for that issue.
Could you please give us the screenshot of this setting on your site?

The ‘Settings’ page is set to default.
‘Apply all applicable rules’ therefore applies to:
- Product pricing
- Cart discounts
- Checkout fee
Steps to reproduce:
Install WP (standard theme), install WC, install your plugin. Set just a pre-defined standard rule (e.g. 50% campaign) within Cart Discount.
Cart discount doesn’t work. Neither with a single rule, nor with several together (50% + 10€). The combination of product pricing and cart discount does not work either. The only thing that seems to work is the product discount.
I’m starting to think that the promised functionality is not present in this (light) plugin. A screenshot from you of the promised cart discount would be informative. Or am I simply misunderstanding invoice discounts?
WP 6.4.2 | WC 8.4.0 | YaYPricing ‘Lite’ 2.4.9.2
WP Standard Theme (Twenty-Twenty-Four)
PHP 7.4 | MariaDB 10.3
Hi @user4forum,
Thanks for your quick response.
Could you please give us the screencast of your settings?
It is very helpful if you can provide all the setting tab screen.
Best regards,
Mia
Ok, first of all I guess I have to apologize. The cart function actually works. So this ‘BUG’ seems to be on ‘my’ side.
I have now completely reinstalled WP, installed WC, created a test product and finally installed your pricing plugin. In this the 50% cart rule is activated and the discount is actually displayed.
So, this support thread can be closed with this.
FYI,
the cause was that the WC Coupon option was disabled.
“Enable the use of coupon codes” [WC General Tab -> Enable coupons]. The pricing plugin seems to require this to be activated (default).
Maybe the cart discount function in this plugin will also work without an active WC coupon option in the future? Then the “Coupon Code” buttons and “Apply Code” remain hidden as coupons are not needed in our use case and these buttons only confuse customers.
Probably only a few shops have deactivated coupons, otherwise many operators would complain about the lack of a cart discount in your plugin.
Hi @user4forum,
Good morning!
Glad to hear that works now. You were right, the WC coupon is required to be enabled Cart discount function.
We have added this notice into our doc that will help you guys can set it up easier.
If it’s possible, can you leave YayPricing a review please? https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/yaypricing/#reviews Your review will motivate us to develop more plugins and have awesome users like you. 😉
Thanks once again for your efforts. We wish you have a great day ahead.
Best regards,
Mia
