• Hi there
I’ve been using woo commerce with the salient theme on a clients site for a few months. Every month there are problems with the cart and products not showing up. This isn’t consistent across any browser or device. The theme designers say they have no issues with it and to try the hosting side. There doesn’t seem to be an issue there. The main site url is http://www.tifffinney.com The default url site that some people also access is http://www.polephysique.com Could this be the issue at all? Or can you suggest what the problem is?

Many thanks, Sharon. (from someone with less hair)

  • Try deactivating all plugins except WooCommerce. If that clears the problem, you have a plugin conflict. Reactivate plugins one-by-one to try to identify which one.

If you still have the problem when you have only WooCommerce active, try the default theme TwentyFourteen. If that clears the problem, then it looks like a theme issue.

Does your theme have WooCommerce template overides? Have a look at Admin page > WooCommerce > System Status > Template overides (well down the page). If you have template overides, these are switched out by trying another theme, so again, if that fixes the problem it does point towards the theme.

If you get to the point where you have just WP, WC and 2014 and you still have a problem, its looking like you have a corrupted or incomplete install of one of these.

An updated version of your theme has been issued. Unlikely to fix this problem but probably best to update.

All this switching in and out and updating can make matters much worse, so ensure you have a good backup of files and database before embarking on a debug.

I shall look at the options and info you sent to see if that helps.

    Thanks again.
