Hi onirgoc,
Yes AAM Plus Package add page categories but you can turn it of with ConfigPress plugin.
Simply install it, go to Settings -> ConfigPress and enter this config:
[aam]
page_category = "false"
We are working move this settings to AAM Utilities extension and it’ll come with the next update.
Thank you,
Vasyl
Ok but I prefer to keep your version because yours is using categories specific to pages and not shared with post like “Post Tags and Categories for Pages” and I trust more yours because it’s maintain dayli which is not the case of the old other plugin …
Except it miss two important things :
1) catgories do not appaear on the page list (on a column to the right of the page name ) like by default in post list. That miss because you can’t use the quick edit option to change it easyli.
2) Some options do not appear editing categories; I am using Ultimate Manager and their security options do not appear as in post categories. I can imagine it’s not specific to UM.
Thanks
Hi onirgoc,
Appreciate your trust in our product.
You are right that page categories do not appear on the page this. This is very good idea and we will work on adding this in the future update of AAM Plus Package extension.
We are not quite sure how Ultimate Manager work and what it does with custom terms (like page categories). The best option is to ask them directly about your issue.
Thank you,
Vasyl
