One of my main categories starts with “F” Familliengeschichte, and a subcategory with “B” Blauensteiner. It shows “Blauensteiner / Familliengeschichte” … so the subcategory first?!?? How can I change this so that the main category is displayed before the subcategory? Thanks for tips

You are referring to the category list above the title in the post output on your page, correct? This is generated by the theme you are using. I would recommend contacting their support forum: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/theme/bam/
This error I think is not because of the theme, since it persists even after I change the theme to default theme or even other like kadence, and even on different WordPress installation.
Though I was unable to pinpoint the real reason for this.
It sounds like Blauensteiner might be selected as the primary (primary, not “parent”) category. The primary category can be selected in Yoast and possibly other SEO or breadcrumb-specific plugins. It doesn’t seem like you are using Yoast, so I’m wondering if there’s another plugin that you are using for SEO/breadcrumbs or some other plugin that is causing this.
In any case, I would think that Blauensteiner should be the primary category, nested under its parent (Familliengeschichte); in this case, I would think the cleaner solution might be to modify how the parent/child category appears with a code snippet (if you don’t want to create a child theme just for this).
