Categories and Blog Loop

I can only speak for The Events Calendar, not Events Manager. Including the events in the main blog loop is not the default behavior. But if you want that and have selected the option they will appear.

Usually WP sorts the blog loop by pubdate. In your case it sounds like your theme is instead grouping by category. It is possible that your theme is limiting its query to not include custom terms. In which case you would need to modify how it functions. No easy task unless you are at least somewhat familiar with WP Queries. The theme author might be able to help since TEC is a basic WP Custom Post Type. If you need more help on our end, we can give guidance and overviews of customizations like this on our PRO forums. But even that might not be enough if you are not the coder sort. In which case you might just need to hire someone to customize it for you.
