Thanks for your report. You don’t specify whether you refer to the MLA Att. Categories taxonomy, the WordPress Categories taxonomy or some other taxonomy, but the suggestions I have will work for either.
To find the taxonomies available to you and add support for them, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Settings/Media Library Assistant General tab.
- Scroll down to the “Taxonomy Support” section.
- Find the taxonomy you want and make sure the box in the “Support” column is checked.
- Check the other columns that suit your application. Some help text is just below the taxonomy table.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Save Changes” to record your new settings.
If you click the “Media” admin menu entry you will see each of the supported taxonomies listed as submenu items. If you click on one of the taxonomies you will get the taxonomy editing screen. The “Attachments” column gives the number of Media Library items assigned to each taxonomy term. If you click on a number in that column you will get the Media/Assistant screen showing the items assigned to that term.
I hope that is useful. I will leave this topic unresolved for now in case you have problems or further questions regarding the above suggestions. If so, any additional information you can provide will be helpful. I look forward to hearing back from you, and thanks for your interest in the plugin.
