Do you have a category plugin activated? ‘Nice categories’ or something similar?

And did you turn them all off when you upgraded?
now i find into “manage – categories” all the categories i’ve had before, but the post are “uncategorized”

Ok, it will probably be a proces of elimination. Turn off all your plugins and activate one bye one.
Note: I am not sure what is happening here exactly, so you could wait for MichaelH [or anyone else] to advise you if you prefer. He is much more talented than I and may be able to suggest a far better solution.
I deactivate and try to reactivate now, it gives “fatal error” with “sidebar modules” SBM plugin….
Plus some post are regular categorized now, but the new one are “uncategorized” what a mystery…. I really don’t know what to do now.. return on a old wp version?!
