Categories Widget Stopped Working

    The screenshot showing the category widget settings does not appear to be a Connections widget. Not sure what it is. Do you have the Connections Widget Pack installed and activated?

    LOL you hit the nail on the head there. I set the site up so long ago that I forgot I wrote a plugin to do the widget! As my coding days are in the past I have just purchased the Widget Pack and activated it.

    I put in the new widget and I set the “Display” to “Include or Exclude specific categories”. They show in the preview on the admin but when I press update then come back to the page it’s ‘forgotten’ the categories that I set. Any ideas why it might do that?

    I think you need to also use the “Classic Widgets” WordPress plugin.
