Categorization Plugin

Hello all. I am looking for a possible plugin to allow the category of people by certain fields. I see that Joomla has something similiar, but what I need is to be able to customize the fields to display (name, power, birth place, appearance, etc). Before I venture into PHP coding I was hoping that someone might know of something that can do this with WP.
