Categorized posts for Buddypress?

Hello,

I am looking for for plug-in/extension for my Buddypress site, which changes the layout of the activity stream. For ex, one that would change change the stream from a vertical wall to pinterest-like or store-like layout? Are there any solutions out there like this, or would custom coding be the only alternative?
