We do not have a feature that would automatically display the category as of now. In terms of styling, we believe adding the text of your category before adding the [ultimate-slider] would be simpler.
Are there any specific ways in which you would see other users utilizing this feature?

I am using your slider plugin as a “recent posts slider” for my blog. My blog has three topics/categories and I would like to display the associated category on each “recent post” slider image above the title.
So, unfortunately it does not work to write the Category above the whole slider because my three categories are all represented in one slider.

It sounds like an interesting add-on to our plugin. We will have a look into it. A workaround would to add the category within the description of your slider.
