Category Access not working

    Hi! I am testing the free version of Download Manager at the moment and noticed that category access is not working properly i.e. normal visitors can still download documents. I have set category user access for a particular visitor type in teh DM Category section. However, when i try and download the document as a normal visitor i.e. with no access rights, I am still able to download teh document, even though i am not even logged in or have no access to it! Restricting access to a particular document seems to work but not when access is defined via the categories. Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Hi,
    If the file access merges with category access, so if file has “All Visitors” selected for “Allow Access” option, it will append with the access of associated categories, so as long as “All Visitors” is selected somewhere around there, everything will be able to download that file.

    Thanks. I just did more testing and came to teh same conclusion and was about to update you. Is it possible to set the default access level to blank in documents i.e. stop the system from automatically including All Visitors when a new document is created?

    Sorry, that is not possible yet.
