I understand the purpose of including the posted events in the main blog loop… I use a theme that calls posts by category from the default wordpress category structure.

The admin panel for this does not allow for custom plugin category structures to be included.

Is there a workround for this?

With more research I now have names for what I am trying solve.

WordPress has a main ‘Category’ taxonomy, and ‘the Events Manager’ has a custom category taxonomy.

My theme has a drop down menu allowing me to select a main category taxonomy to display on the front page.

Any new events listed will not display on my front page for this reason because I have to select a given category from the main list.

Is there a way I fix this?
