category in permalink

    hey again everyone..

    i am using the latest version of WP 🙂

    i am using the permalinks but i am having a small issue

    i am getting urls such as

    /blog/category/test/

    how do i get a url like

    /blog/test

    it seems that when i click on a category, or item from the main page, the word ‘category’ gets put into the url

    any thoughts on how to eliminate the word?

    Hi

    Its built into WordPress to have a word there. It doesn’t have to be the word “category”. The word can be changed on the Permalinks settings page in admin – Category base. I sometimes use a letter or two in place of a full word.

    There is a plugin which eliminates the need for a word there at all

    I haven’t used it so can’t vouch for it.
