Category/Keyword Filter Loading Wrong Template

Hi Steve,

I noticed on a directory I just set up that the Category and Keyword search filters don’t load the correct template. Just for reference, I have the directory page set to “Tile Plus” and the profile page template set to “Profile” to which I have used a child-page template to do some customizing of the format.

However, when selecting a category or typing in a keyword search to filter, it reloads the page but uses the “Profile” page template instead of the “Tile Plus” page template to show the results. How would I go about getting the filter results to use the “Tile Plus” template?

I can not see the directory page since the page is set to require a password to view…

It sounds like you are somehow using a two-page setup to display the directory. I might need to know more about your config to figure out how to make this work for you since Connections is designed to be used on a single page for the list and profile views.

My best guess… on the page you have set up to use the Profile template, add the home_id shortcode option to the existing [connections] shortcode on the page. The ID number you should use is the page setup with the Tile Plus template. Here’s an example shortcode:

[connections home_id=n]

n = the page ID of the page with Tile Plus.

Oops sorry about that. I have unchecked the “must be logged in to view” option. Try the url now:

In the meantime, I will double-check the Home ID in the shortcode.

Oh, I see; it seems you have set the page with the Profile template as the directory home page and/or used either the home_id or force_home shortcode option on the page with the Tile Plus template.

Or… did you use the Link to add a link to the profile page when you added the entries???

Can you please share screenshots of the edit admin page for both pages showing the shortcodes? And, a screenshot showing the General settings admin page?
