Hi! Thank you for the great plugin, it works wonderfully! I only have one issue which is causing (quite a bit of) trouble for us. In the Original xml feed the categories are separated by the pipe symbol “|”. I imported with the category tree option and I specified the pipe symbol there. It nicely picked up the categories and created ones with correct tree structure, except for one of the primary categories, where the plugin separated 1 main category into 2 categories. I think it did it because the main category has a comma in it’s name, like this “Zbrane (B,C)”. So I’m wondering why it used the comma to separate the categories if I specified the pipe symbol. The two categories it created from this were “Zbrane (B,” and “C)”. Interestingly, all other categories are just fine. So e.g. from “<![CDATA[ Zbrane (B,C) | Guľovnice | Sako | Sako QUAD ]]>” it nicely picked up and created the “Guľovnice”, “Sako”, “Sako QUAD” categories, without any issue. Any ideas? It’d be really appreciated! Thank you!

    Hi,
thank you very much for your contact.

Are you able to send me screenshots of how you import it?
I would like to take a peek for myself to see if an error has crept in.
Ideally, you could point me to the mapping.

Thanks for the quick reply. I’m not using the mapping option, I’m using the Create category tree one. Like this: https://ibb.co/JRptVz0B (sorry, can’t seem to be able to paste in an image directly…).

So I wrote a python script which goes through the original feed and changes the comma to a dash in the category I had a problem with. This seems to work fine because now I don’t have the issue anymore, so the plugin was also using comma as separator, not only the pipe symbol, even though (as seen on the screenshot) I only defined the pipe symbol for it.

However, now I have another issue (also, should I open a new topic for it?), which is that the plugin is creating multiple categories with the same name but just with different slugs. Why is this? Isn’t there an option to somehow merge these? Manual merge is a no-go, I have 4000+ products with 300+ categories… Any ideas?
