Category Visibility on “Heroic Knowledge Base”

Hi,
I am using a knowledge base theme “HelpGuru”, that is using a knowledge base module Heroic Knowledge Base.
On my knowledge base homepage, I wish to hide categories that have been defined has restricted.
Currently the articles and category pages are indeed restricted and when I try to acess them, I am redirected to the current page I am on, but the category is visible on the homepage.
Could you let me know how to apply the visibility rights to that module?

Another problem:
After setting my first restricted rights, I cannot see the “restrictions” section anymore (the screen is empty). Members and Capabilities tabs are working fine.
