I would like to use this app as a security measure, however, I have had to deactivate it due to the error it causes with my User Switching app. The User Switching app is not able to function when your app is activate. Can this conflict be resolved, per this recommendation from the User Switching developer:

    From User Switching support:

“Ah-ha. This problem has come up a few times in the past with various plugins that hide the login URL or admin URL. The User Switching plugin uses the correct function to fetch the login URL, and it uses the same functions and filters that WordPress core uses to set its cookies.

There’s nothing else that User Switching can do to detect the correct login or admin area URL so this is best taken up with the author of the plugin that hides the login URL.

    Hello,

Thanks for using WPS Hide Login.

Ok. User Switching Support can give you the right filter to add in our plugin to make it compatible 🙂

We’ll add it in the next release.

    >> What do I ask them for, and where do I “put” what they give me? In my Code Snippets plugin?

“We’ll add it in the next release.”
    >> Oh great! Is it done now, so I can skip the step above, and just reinstall your app? 🙂

    Hello,

No. Give us the snippet, they shared with you here and I’ll send it to our dev team to add it in the next release.

Hi! The response from the app developer:

“That’s not something I’m able help with. You’ll need to ask the hide login plugin developers to investigate why their plugin breaks the user switching functionality.”

    Please help, thanks.

    Hello,

I did tests to check the issue and User Switching plugin works very well on my side with WPS Hide Login.

    What is your configuration ?

What do you mean? My configuration is this:

    Hello,

I’d already read the user switching message in your first post 🙂

I can repeat too : I did tests to check the issue and User Switching plugin works very well on my side with WPS Hide Login.

What is your configuration ? (wordpress version). Is your install up to date ? (core, plugins, theme). Have you ever tried to deactivate every plugins except WPS Hide Login and User Switching to ensure there’s no other conflict with other plugins ?

‘WPS Hide login’ does a redirect to ‘wp-login.php’ and a call to die() when the login URL is requested, that is why the ‘User Switching’ plugin doesn’t work, I had to disable the ‘WPS Hide login’ plugin when the query string contains the ‘switch_to_olduser’ param through an MU-plugin. You could use the ‘Plugin Organizer’ plugin to do this.
