Hello, I recently installed the free version of Cloudflare on my site, which provides a CDN as well as another layer of security. The problem is that Wordfence is flagging Cloudflare IP addresses, rather than the actual user IP address. They have a free API to push the correct IP address to WordPress. Any chance you can upgrade Wordfence to work properly with Cloudflare and other CDNs, etc? I believe there’s a workaround that I can use at the server level, but the site I’m most interested in resolving this issue for is on a shared host and doing so might be problematic.

  • Hi\
Have you added the cloudflare plugin? They recommend using that for wordpress blogs. Also, on our options page there is a setting for “how wordpress gets its IP’s” Choose the one for CLoudflare (last one I think) and you should be good.

Thanks for the prompt response. Yes, I’ve installed the Cloudflare plugin. I don’t see the option on the page – is that a Premium feature, or is it also available in the free version?
