    Hi Tobias,

I’m trying to edit the data in the cell of an existing table, when I edit the text and click off the cell, the cell’s data is deleted. This happens for every cell I click on. My colleague on another device does not have this issue, but is using the same version of Chrome as me.

    WordPress: 4.6.2

    Tablepress: 2.2.4

    Chrome: 120.0.6099.225

I’ve also tried resetting the plugin_options_db_version to 0 as suggested in another post, the version successfully resets itself but the issue remains.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi!

Thanks for your post and sorry for the trouble!

Just to be sure: You are trying to edit the content in a cell that already has content? Then, please double-click into the cell, instead of single-clicking. This will then activate the editing mode, and you should be seeing the keyboard cursor blinking in the cell.

    Regards,
    Tobias

Yes, it already has content in the cell. In this case the cell contains a numeric date, I double click on the cell, then edit the text, once I click away from the cell to save the changes the cell goes blank. So neither the original date or amended date are saved. This happens with every cell I click on, the cell editing mode clears the cell when I click away from the cell.

    Hi,

thanks for the explanation! Can you please check if there are any browser extensions (things like Grammarly, LanguageTool, AI writing helpers, …) active? There have been cases in the past where such tools have interfered.

Can you maybe also try this in a different browser, to see if it can be reproduced there?

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
