  • Do not edit the Twenty Fourteen theme. It is the current default WordPress theme and having access to an original, unedited, copy of the theme is vital in many situations. First create a child theme for your changes. Or install a custom CSS plugin.

hey esmi, thanks for the (quick) advice. I’m aware though, that I should create a child theme. I did so on my local machine via xampp, where I’m keeping everything clean.
But this site is for testing reasons only, so I didn’t really mind messing around with the original theme. Or is it even in this case necessary to create a child theme?

But do you have any suggestions on the centering issue?
