gecko_guy,
Yes we have to mark it with new version, I forget to update that.
With existing accounts they are updated but take care of role. Currently, you have to do a different import to each role and do not indicate any password.
And yes, make a backup first, just in case.
Wow, fast reply! 🙂
Thanks, so can you explain how the passwords are handled, I’m not sure I understand your meaning?
[ignore this*]How would the new users know what their password is if the field is empty?* I’ve seen the screenshots..
Can you explain a bit more about the existing users?
Do you mean, if I create a batch import, I must import the existing users again, but leave their passwords blank, and this will mean they keep their old password?
gecko_guy,
Have you read the documentation?
Hi, sorry I get most of it from the screenshots..
Is there more detailed documentation than here in the repository (your website?), or do I need to actually install the plugin to read it?
Install and read it, this is really light so don’t worry.
In documentation tab you can read all this.
Thanks 🙂
Thanks Javier, appreciate the lightning fast replies 🙂
Your plugin looks nice, but I’ve decided to use WP CLI as it allows me complete control right from the command line..
WP CLI might be a bit advanced for the average user, so I’ll surely recommend that people check this plugin out if I hear of anyone who needs this kind of functionality.
Best,
Guy
Guy,
Yes WP CLI is great but it is harder than this. Thanks for your comments, this plugins will continue becoming better.
Best,
Javier
