First of all, thank you so much for giving us this fantastic plugin — it’s amazing!
I’ve been using Divi for a couple of years now, and I haven’t been able to solve the issue with the country flags. It seems that some function in Divi might be preventing the flags from displaying correctly.

Have you received any reports about this?
Could you possibly adjust the plugin?
I’ve tried everything, but I just haven’t been able to fix it. =(

    Hi everyone!

I’m going to take the time to explain this because the error is really frustrating.
If you’re using Divi or Elementor, together with Contact Form 7, and you’ve implemented Country & Phone Field Contact Form 7, but the country flags in the phone field don’t display properly even after clearing cache or disabling compressors like LiteSpeed the problem might still persist.

I did the same: I even modified the plugin’s core to force the CSS (that was our theory), but the issue is actually much simpler than it seems.

👉 Your hosting provider might have an active image compression system in your control panel. For example, Hostinger includes this by default — in the control panel you’ll find a DNS or optimization section that’s enabled automatically. Among its functions are image compression, WebP conversion, and size reduction.

In short, it destroys the sprite image, and the plugin can’t locate it correctly that’s why the error occurs.
If you go into your panel and disable that feature, everything displays perfectly.

I hope this helps someone, because it took me a couple of months to figure it out.

By the way! @narinderbisht Narinder Singh — it’s a fantastic plugin!

Thank you for this incredible work. I hope this small contribution helps improve the plugin’s rating, because many of the issues users experience aren’t actually caused by the plugin itself, but by external factors.

Would it be possible for the flag image file to be stored in a different location? That could help prevent this kind of error.
