    Hi Samboll
Thanks for this. I have again downloaded, uncompressed to desktop and FTPed (FileZilla) to the http://www.magneticisland.info/blog directory according to the instructions. However I still get the same CGI error message in IE8, not only for wp-admin/install.php but also for wp-admin/install-helper.php, in fact any php file.

Does this mean that my server has not installed the write php scripts on my website or something like that?

Please advice. It has taken me an extraordinairy time to try to install, what seem to be a straightforward process. Thank you.

    With warm http://www.magneticisland.info regards.

    Hi Samboli

I got the following link http://www.magneticisland.info/info.php from my webhost to prove that php is working on my website. Could you click on this and have a look if there is anything wrong with this.

    With warm http://www.magneticisland.info regards
