• This is probably simple. I’ve seen support regarding a post to multiple sites. But I’ve yet to see a single PAGE update being mirrored to an additional site. Has to be a page not a post. A logged in page.

    Here is the scenario.

I have an Affiliate member site for radio stations to view and listen to radio content. Affiliate members need to log in to access this site.

I have another WordPress site on the same server using s different web domain for Listener members. Listeners would have to log in to view and listen to content on this site as well.

    Here is where I’m confused.

There is a page that is updated weekly on the Affiliate site that needs to also be updated on the Listener site simultaneously. Identical pages. Simply pass the update to the 2nd site. The 2 sites have other content that is relevant to the members. But this one page should appear on both sites.

The reason for having 2 sites is of course the specific content and more importantly because of the Member management. Both sites use different member management plugins that better suit the members, so keeping these user profiles on 2 different sites is essential.

Qualifications: Both sites require the members to log in. So what ever plugin or script I use allowing members to view the one specific page on both sites, would have to have some kind of bridge or API allowing the data to be posted. Site A is essentially logging into site B, to pass along the page update.

And keep in mind this is simply a page update not a post. Because it requires member login, a simple iFrame will not work. And we do want to keep user profiles separate on each of these sites.

Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

  • Normally, syndication and cross-posting happens in posts or custom post types.

This plugin might do what you want while respecting your two sites different subsystems.

    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/http-syndication/

It does mention pages instead of posts syndication…

I like how it promises to leave the thematic and core WordPress functionality alone while allowing the content to cross over.

Not sure about the overhead but I expect that to be reasonable and the author seems to be active with the plugin.

    Hope this helps.
