Cancel that change from wp-admin. Then, go to yoursite.com/wp-admin/options.php. Scrolll down to “admin_email” and change the email address there.
You need to verify the new email address. For this purpose, your WordPress has sent you an email to this address at the moment of saving. This is what the “pending change” refers to.
If you have not received an email, it fails to send an email from your wordpress installation. This can have many causes, starting with the hosting. One solution to this would be to use an SMTP plugin or contact your hoster’s support.
